Wednesday, July 10, 2024 | 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. CT
Join AAAM for an insightful 90-minute webinar on the innovative use of Behavioral Skills Training (BST) to address car seat misuse. Emerging from recent research under the California Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) and published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management, this session explores the effectiveness of both in-person and telehealth BST approaches.
Description
Car seat misuse is a critical issue affecting child passenger safety. This webinar delves into the origins, methodology, and applications of BST, providing a comprehensive overview of its training protocol planning status and upcoming opportunities for Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) to participate in BST training development and future BST Continuing Education Units (CEU) classes.
Leading experts and researchers James DeCarli, PhD, MPH, MPA, PGDip, and Megan Aclan, PhD, BCBA-D, will share their insights and experiences. They will discuss the practical applications of BST in reducing car seat misuse and offer valuable resources for CPSTs.
Moderated by Emily Thomas, PhD, CPST, this webinar will also feature a Q&A session, providing attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the experts.
